What a letdown! I tried calling but couldn't get through, so I went ahead and booked an online appointment, which cost me £50. Then their system went down, and they promised to call me back - seemed alright at first. Ian from Kensington eventually called and spent a good 45 minutes discussing our needs, setting up a time to confirm the booking. But after that, crickets. No follow-up, no way to reach them, and they got my hopes up for an Easter getaway only to leave us hanging - total radio silence. I usually don’t like to leave bad reviews, but this was just so frustrating and a total waste of 2 to 2.5 hours. We ended up reaching out to Holiday Architects, and they were fantastic! They booked our trip in a week - super easy to contact, very professional, and kept us in the loop. It was the exact opposite of what I expected from Trailfinders.

Honestly, I reckon all these reviews are fake. I'm currently set for a trip with Trailfinders and can't get anyone on the phone or even a response to my email. This has got to be the worst travel company I've ever had to deal with. Everyone seems to be on leave or unreachable, and good luck getting a callback... steer clear, folks! It's just not worth the hassle. Let's see if anyone reaches out after this review, but I ain't holding my breath.

From the very first conversation we had with Stacey during our online appointment, she impressed us. She knew her stuff, was super flexible, and was more than willing to tweak the itinerary until it was just right. We’re for sure going to book with Trailfinders for our next getaway.

Anthony took care of all my worries, and all in all, it was a chill, easygoing, and hassle-free time.

I've relied on Trailfinders multiple times, and honestly, they’re top-notch. Recently, I worked with Ollie at the Southampton location. Since I’m based in Inverness and there’s no local branch, I was a bit worried, but it turned out to be no issue at all. Just booked a trip to Jordan for three of us, and Ollie made the whole process easy and enjoyable. He kept me in the loop, and we’re all super excited for our October adventure in Jordan. Ollie’s fantastic, and I’d totally recommend him to anyone traveling. I’ll share my thoughts on the holiday once we’re back.

Just wanted to express my thanks. Our advisor, Simon Beard, based in Tunbridge Wells, put together a fantastic Malaysian tour for us. He got back to me super quick with an itinerary after my first inquiry, and he even suggested that adding an extra night at the end would really help lower our airfares. We had a wonderful holiday overall. The local agents, EXO Tours, took care of all the transfers and provided a guide to show us around the places we were visiting. Every room we stayed in was spot on. So, big thanks to Simon!

There was just one tiny hiccup: the ride from the Datai Hotel on Langkawi Island to the airport was in an old, uncomfortable minibus, which didn’t quite match the high-end vibe we were expecting. Also, a heads up for travelers—Kuala Lumpur Airport can be pretty bewildering. We got lost both coming in and going out!

My recent dealings with Trailfinders have really let me down. I felt stranded and not taken seriously by the agent we talked to. Initially, the phone call was helpful regarding our trip to the USA, and I received a quote with the itinerary. However, after that first conversation, there was no follow-up from the agent to check in on our booking. If I hadn’t reached out to him about changing the date, I wouldn’t have heard a peep. After many attempts to get through, waiting in long queues and being promised callbacks that never came, I finally managed to get him on the line. I shared our new dates, but despite mentioning a convention at our destination, I wasn’t offered the chance to pick a different date to get a better rate. Instead, the fare shot up by around £2,000, and once again, we were left in the lurch! When I called last Friday, another agent told me he was out that day and that we were scheduled for a callback the next day, which never materialized. Even when I called back in the afternoon, I was told he would call after lunch, but that didn’t happen either! This whole situation feels unfair and unnecessary. It’s disappointing to feel like we’re not taken seriously just because we didn’t pay by the initial deadline. There’s zero follow-through, and it’s frustrating!

Ruaridh was fantastic during our entire booking process. From the first moment we entered the store, he was receptive to all our ideas and provided guidance based on his vast travel knowledge, never coming off as 'pushy' at all. He took the time to understand our dreams and crafted a personalized itinerary. He was super patient and assisted us in making adjustments until we were completely satisfied with our plans. The booking and payment process was a breeze. Ruaridh assured us that we could reach out with any additional questions or needs before our journey. Now, all that's left is to get pumped for the trip! Huge thanks for all your assistance.

This review focuses entirely on the booking experience. We haven't taken our trip to Sri Lanka yet, so I'll share my thoughts on that later.

The communication with Trailfinders is absolutely terrible. Their representatives can't provide a direct line or a WhatsApp number, and the only way to discuss trip details is by waiting on hold for ages on their single contact number.

I was assured that everything would be smooth once the booking was confirmed, as you could reach out to them through their TrailView app. But honestly, all you can do is send a message, and they’ll get back to you whenever it suits them. If their response doesn’t address your question, you can’t just reply; you have to go through the entire process all over again!

I definitely won’t be using their services again.

Zach really knows his stuff! He was super friendly without being overbearing. Offered plenty of choices and was incredibly helpful.
